Hello everyone,
Therer is info published on the new EBAA website concerning the Inaugural Cortez Electric Boat Marathon being run on Friday April 16 in Cortez Florida (near Tampa). Go to www.electricboats.
A few basics: a 25 mile race for electric only boats--very similar in concept to the Wye Island race held each year in St. Michaels MD in October. There are three classes, single hull, mulit hull and extreme. We expect to have a good turn out for a first ever event. The website has a pdf file of the race course and I expect to have a downloadable entry form up in a couple days.
Of course the other news here is the re-emergence of the EBAA website after being down for a few years. I will post another thread on this so please keep this thread didicated strictly to race questions and post suggestions on the new website itself on the other thread.
I will be around most of the weekend and monitor the boards so any questions should be answered within a few hours--at least at first, so chime in! Best, Tom Hesselink
