I had wondered about that argument. After all, manu batteries ae themselves simply a series of cells. How does one get to the individual cells themselves? If that was mentioned in the initial discussion I must have missed it.
So how does one get around the problem of balancing multiple cells within a single battery housing?
All I know about that subject is from 50 years ago when it was common place to rebuild failed lead/acid car batteries. Those failures were rarely a failure of the complete battery; instead, the whole basis of rebuilding a battery depended on knowing that the failure could be be traced to one of the internal cells.
