Well it is West Coast Boat Show season again. The temperature in Southern California has dropped to the low 70's and the season is in full swing. I would like to invite any of you to visit these shows as I know a number of vendors will be attending (vendors are welcome to chine in).
1/22-25/15 - San Diego "Big Bay Boat Show" at the Sunroad Marina. I will be there with a couple of my vendors. There will be two boats on display outside the show that you can visit: Gulfstar 39 (20000 pound ocean cruising diesel-electric serial hybrid) and O'Day 32 (11000 pound diesel/electric parallel hybrid). There will also be a seminar on Saturday and Sunday (last year there was standing room only). I would hope anyone in the area might want to come by, current electric boat owners or those thinking about it.
1/23 to 2/2/15 - Seattle Boat Show. There will be several vendors displaying at this week plus long show. This is a very large show and well worth the time and effort to attend.
2/29-22/15 - The Los Angels Boat Show - Sailfest at Marina Del Rey. They have combined the Long Beach Strictly Sail show with this larger show in LA. There will be seminars at this show but I do not know which of any vendors attending.
4/9-12/15 Strictly Sail Pacific - Jack London Square - Oakland. This is a great show with a many vendors attending. Free seminars are also being given in addition to the paid courses that are taught.
I know there are other shows going on including Miami, Toronto, Chicago, etc. I would hope you attend and meet and support the vendors who are working hard to improve the sailing experience.
