I'll clarify my statement. Most of the people here that have converted sailboats have found that battery range is not as much of an issue as it seemed before we converted.
I'm sure that people with powerboats have more demand for consistant range.
When I converted, I was concerned about the potential range of my 8kWh battery pack. Since I've converted, the only time that I've discharged more than 30% of its capacity was when I was collecting performance data. That said, I'm glad I've got the extra capacity, just in case...
I'm pretty sure that Mike can chime in on this topic too.
