I love these articles where someone states that their device "could" develop 100 watts in "normal" wind and "up to" 2kW max. Haven't they already built one? Can't they measure the actual output? I'm guessing that they have and the real data doesn't look quite as promising.
Tell me that they have measured xx wats at yy wind speed and they expect that the larger model will produce up to 4 times their measured performance and the article would be more useful/believable.
In software development, we call this "vaporware".
