I'm not sure what you mean by direct. There is a pulley and a belt between the prop shaft and the motor. I don't know the ratio as it was spec'd when I bought the system. All I know is it works. I've be spending the past few weeks adding a solar dodger to the boat. Which I will post about soon. I'm also planing on heading out on another cruise soon and I will post some numnbers about a recent 140 mile past cruise as soon as I get the info together.

Mike I went through your blog very nice work. I see that you did in fact go direct. How is this working for you and would you us a reduction drive next time if you had the chance. Please give us some numbers on what you found using your setup.
