[Electric Boats] Largest well application?

 

What is the largest well application that is practical. I am redesigning a 42' 15 ton sailboat, center cockpit. I'm wondering if I could re-purpose the lazarette into a well with twin retractable  electric motors, given that electric is so much lighter than ICE I don't see why I should limit myself to down low and a permanent hole in my boat dragging a prop full time. Just a "what if" kinda question. Glenn
