Could be. I do pay close attention to bank voltage while running.
I am thinking maybe some sort of automatic S.G. gauge might not be another way to do this. It could be something with a lower unit that stays in a cell, perhaps, mechanically linked to a hall sensor assembly on top of the battery that feeds an op amp or microprocessor driven meter. It would be pretty fidgety in rough water, though... or maybe an automatically operated hydrometer arrangement. None of that has the convenience and potential accuracy of actually counting amp hours in and out, I think. And amp hours out is easy to count and correct for Peukert. It is just the amp hours in, that has me mystified.
