Years ago I checked out Strath Steam engines , I may get one still , but that would be for power , hot water and electricity generation on the farm.
I'll be interested in seeing it one day.

Ah Rob ... the advantages of a displacement hull. Electrics including batteries 200Kg, Steam engine 125kg, Boiler about 250kgs - water tube type.
Hull speed on this launch will be about 6-7 knots. No water-skiing - but silent and smooth, (I hope) The steam engine is the primary mover. However the hull type is ideal for electrics. The plan is to use it as an auxillary.
I'll let you know how it goes when it is in the water. There is plenty of reserve buoyancy in the hull.
