I have a 10.5 ft FG catamaran I have a 40 lb thrust trollingbrand new sitting here, I am thinking 2 batteries to a switch, #1-#2 -Both and off. Go out on one and as it dies, turn around and head back on #2. Figure going to both will give a final push. I was thinking of adding a 100W solar kit like from Harbor freight.
I don't know. Sailing I could tell you. building FG too but Electric power am a complete novice.
Looking at a pair of 12V. from walmart online
I also have a 9.8 HP outboard but with all the sun in Central Fl. Solar electric is appealing
