I bought a second 1/2" socket wrench U-joint today. (The price is
right, anyway, and square drive is a simple system.) I think with the
two slightly out of line pivots, oriented at 90º to each other, the
two units might cancel each other's eccentricity out, where an odd
number couldn't.
It wants to flop around, if I twist one end and resist at the other,
but I think once the shafts are held with bearings it'll work okay.
