RE: [Electric Boats] silence is deafining on 72 vot setup for 6 t cat

Well the Solomons tech system I have on my Lagoon 410 has worked flawlessly for the last 9 years. The problem is it's a 144V system not 72V. Lagoon tried on their own to run a 72V system on the 420 cats but ran into many issues though I don't believe it had much to do with 72V however I believe the larger cats run better with the higher voltage. There are few systems running 144V. The Solomons System is simple and direct. Everything pretty much runs off the battery bank and then to a main distribution buss. All charging is from either the props (regen), genset (16kw), or shore power. The shore power is directly to the Propulsion bank all other charging and power distribution is from the Buss bank including a charger/converter going to the 12V house bank. Any positive power is then distributed based on needs. Example:
Genset output is 80A at 144V
Motors (2 total) require 50A running at 6 to 8 knots (depending on sea state)
5A to the house bank
25A to recharge Propulsion Bank

Motors are direct drive (shaft) to 18" props.
Have burned 39Gal of diesel (genset) in the last 3+ years mostly exercising the genset because I'm getting concerned the diesel is going to go bad.
Would I do it again? In a heart beat.

i INVESTED IN A CAR SIMILAR TI A GEM ELECTRIC CAR AND THEN HAVE WAITED FOR SOME TECHNOLOGY TO CATCH UP'
DID NOT GET ONE PIECE OF ADVICE ON MY LAST POST AND STARTING TO REGRETT THE TIME I HEARD ABOUT THIS SUBJECT
