I've been considering doing very similar to that with an old scott attwater lower I have kicking around here, with maybe 2 900 watt 24v motors from monsterscooterparts.com site, which would be maybe 2.1 hp. the lower having the F-N-R shifter in it would take away any need for reverse polarity voltages.. I'm not an electronics person at all, but I've found that a company named ThunderStruck offers a complete motor/controller, etc. package that appears to be pretty straight-forward. Any info on this approach would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
