Unless you are operating in death valley or saudi arabia, I think you need to re-gear or re-prop if you are running that motor too hot.
I have the sister mars motor to that one and I used to run so hot. For the prop and gearing I had, I'd put about 120amps thru with the motor until it would smell like melting varnish. After two burned up controllers, I finally regeared (from 1:1 to 2.7:1) and let that motor spin on up to a proper RPM range.
They get hot if the load is causing the phase of the rotor to lag the phase of the pulses.
I made a beautiful copper piping system that wrapped around my motor but I didn't need it after I re-balanced the system.
Learn from my prior fail.
