[Electric Boats] Re: Ok solar experts...

 

Hi Dave,

I don't know what they cost (no price listed on the site that you provided) but the output is only 60W for a full square meter (10.7 square feet or 5.6W per sq ft). Not bad for thin film technology but the Sharp poly-crystalline 240W panels are only 1.6 sq meters (17.54 sq feet or 13.6W per sq ft), more than twice the output from the same area as the Kaneka panels.

But if one really needs the voltage, they might have to sacrifice the overall wattage for the 48V panels.
