Come run the 12th Annual Wye Island Electric Boat Marathon Oct 4th in MD
We call it a `marathon' because it's 24 miles, but with yearly increases in power levels it has been turning into more of a `sprint' as of late. There are multiple classes for Lead Acid, Lithium, different hull types, and I do believe this is the first year that prize money will be awarded (amounts will depend on sponsorships and race entry fees).
This is a casual event with serious competitors who share the thrill of maximizing speed while minimizing amp draw!
Start at the Miles River Yacht Club in beautiful St. Michaels, MD. Friday October 4th, rain date the 5th. We've had boats towed from Florida, Michigan, and Montreal just to participate.
Here's the link for more information (ignore the incorrect year):

Capt. Todd
