Black magic does work. My 34 foot 9 ton CHB sea trial results . The electric motor turns my shaft with a 5/8 belt . Pulley on the motor is 2.5 inch and on the shaft is 9 inch . Power : 240 volts comes from my generator.
Fishing speed can go all day ( 45 % throttle puts me at fishing speed ) .
Just shy of 4mph at full tilt . At full throttle the controller heated up after 15 min to plastic smelling levels.
So I back off and be happy , also thinking of going 6:1 ish instead of 4:1
Havent had a silent running off batteries because I don't have an inverter. So im thinking what to do next.
Sure wish I knew which is a better way to go in the long run. People are worried about my electrolysis.
Very happy , I credit this group Thank You all.
Ps your original recommendation of 6:1 appears right on . You da man !!!!
Yesterday someone at the dock just about gave me a golf cart motor. model 5BC48Jb247 36 volt. ?
