DHS-(District of Criminals) is also giving Texas Highway Patrol several BIG FAT DEEP V's with 3 300hp engines on each of em, over 600,000 apiece..
-to patrol the shallow Rio Grande?!
they're far more suited to OFFSHORE RACING of course. (jam deniuses I swear)

This just popped up as a headline in my Yahoo homepage. The boat is getting local flack as government waste just because it exists, not the cost of the refit. But we get two good numbers out of the article. The refit will be close to $700k and they spend $32k annually for fuel and maintenance today.
