Re: [Electric Boats] Propane outboard engine

Looking into the propane weedeater, one of the cons listed on multiple reviews is that they are heavier than the equivalent gas powered versions at almost 19 pounds for a 1hp string trimmer. At lest one review complained that it was the hardest starting gardening tool that the reviewer had ever owned. The up side is that they meet virtually all air quality restrictions.

But for a dinghy motor, I would start with an outboard and convert it to propane (if I were to tackle this project)

I would be interested to hear if the propane outboards are heavier for the same output compared to gasoline powered outboards.
