[Electric Boats] Re: Looking at the options/ ski boat as dinghy/anchor when tide is against you

 

My 48 v lithium set up was shipped today
been working on golf cart motor for month= getting real excited

have only used motor for 5 to 15 min at beginning and end of trip.

My opinion as a professional skipper
sailboats are for sailing

had a 17 ft boston whaller with 135 hp outboard for dinghy =did what the guests wanted

also had a 12 ft inflateable with 9.9 hp motor on another boat = did what I wanted to as skipper

decision time have 8 ft inflateable 20 plus kph with 9.9 hp for my use = can tow my 30 ft sailboat
also have a 70 lbs thrust electric with lithium batteries for guest to use = may leave outboard at home and take my 16 ft Alden rowing shell with me when I cruise alone.
carry inflateable kyack $900.00 as personal shore boat = the $100.00 inflateable last 1 to 2 weeks.
