[Electric Boats] Re: Erikson 35 11,600 displacement

Winslow,
I represent Electric Yacht in Southern California. Both will work for your boat which I suspect is the 35-1 (the 35-2 results are much better because of the longer waterline). Each boat is unique and a well designed hull and strong propeller will give better performance than a lesser quality design. We have been seeing significantly better results with our larger systems and we now have a better handle on performance.
The Ericson 35 can be pushed by either system with the 180ibl at just below 7 knots and the 360 at hull speed. The range with an appropriate sized 300AH battery pack would be in the 20 mile range at about 4 knots. These numbers are projections and we try to be conservative.
If you are in the Southern California area, I can provide a demonstration ride for you. Contact Scott at Electric Yacht and he can work with you elsewhere.
