Oh dear. It's revealing that you don't quote any references to support
your claim.

If our Electricity is coming from non-renewable sources (Coal, Gas, Oil,
etc) then yes, electric is overall less efficient and thus more
polluting....

But if our Electricity is coming from renewable sources (Solar, Wind,
etc), then the efficiency of Electric propulsion is way ahead.

The truth is that that the Energy returned from Solar panels far
outweighs the environmental cost of manufacturing them.

And increasingly, Solar Power will be used to manufacture Solar panels,
which will further increase their efficiency.

But whatever the argument, there is one overriding fact. To create the
world we live in, nature has sequestered billions of tons of Carbon. If
we continue to stupidly dig it back up again, we will inevitably return
our beautiful earth to the hellish conditions that existed before there
was free oxygen in the atmosphere.
