Hello. I intend to do some cruising with my 16' Wayfarer sailboat (approx. 375 lb. bare hull weight) using my 15 yr old, rarely used, 55 lb. thrust, 12 v. Minn Kota trolling motor for auxiliary power. Although I would prefer an AGM battery, what advice would you give me in purchasing a new battery? I do have a charger suitable for deep cycle batteries that, I believe, automatically switches to trickle charge as the battery approaches full charge. Thanks in advance for your suggestions.
