[Electric Boats] Re: Hybrid w/Honda 2000

Well not really the key takeaway from the information I provided and hardly needed at all but a nice choice to know and have available...

We found that with out friends Bertham 42 that they could only throw us max 16 amps and as nice as it is to raft up with them we would usually do better and keep our itinerary scheduled properly if we were not rafted up but for lazy days at Pitt Lake it is nice to use their swim ladder.

For instance we left Shelter Island and arrived in Pitt Lake in about five hours.  We really do have a tesla boat, lol.  Anyhow we then rafted up to the Bertham and enjoyed a nice sunny day at the beach but it cost us valuable sunshine and quick recharge time for the energy they provided in the evening and morning.  There trawler completely shadowed our panels all day.

The remaining days at the lake were shrouded in smoke and on the last day it rained.

The other time we rafted up was at the Von Donop Inlet with a trawler we heard the bubbling and decided to test our theory.  We neither required the charger nor needed to stop but wanted to be somewhat sociable and they in the end were very interesting people to meet and they had a wonderful trawler that did need their generator exercised as they had some dirty fuel problems.

We had a nice breakfast and didn't wake the rest of the inlet up running our honda on deck.  Seemed to be the nice thing to do as we did have fallout at times from people not happy with the sound of a generator in the evenings.
