There are no warranty issues with using your own batteries. Just that you don't have regen and thats not an issue for me as I already have a Watt & Sea system.

Sorry that I miss typed. The note should have said "their own batteries and charger". The point is warranty not that other batteries or charger would word with the system. They do work also the batteries work with other systems as well. But you may find warranty issues.
