I am interested in balancing lead acid batteries as most electric propulsion systems are still using lead acid in their battery pack. Jeff indicated that he was using at least 8 batteries in his 48v system. What is the experience with using an "equalizer" or "balancer" between the 12v or 6v in the string. This would be a passive device that would balance the voltage between individual batteries and would be very helpful when there is a 48v charger supporting the 48v bank rather than a multi-12v- battery charger.
