Hello gentlemen
I was following electricboating group but it was dead so I am trying over here.
I am a new member to the group. I am thinking about an electric drag boat.
I have my own motor and transmission and controller and battery.
I am looking for help on converting an old ICE powered hull into this electric powered boat.
I would like help on issues related to center of gravity, prop speed, propellor horsepower versus rpm.
My target is 8000rpm peak.
About 1200ftlbs torque flat from zero to 8000
I am using a Lenco two speed transmission with 32 spline output shaft.
Goal would be fitting this to an existing v drive?
I do not know all the boat nomenclature.
What would be a good question to pursue here if the goal is to not flip the boat over my first time on the water.
