[Electric Boats] Something useful to keep onboard an electric propulsion craft...

I installed this on my boat last season, at my electrical panel.

It's basically a glorified buck converter that lets you convert your pack voltage to a multitude of different output voltages as needed.

I use it for charging my dinghy's lithium pack, a small 12v house pack, 18V lithium packs for some power tools, and charging some R/C boat and drone batteries which it turns out are essential equipment if you ask my son..  It looks nice, it installs nice.  The price is very nice for what it gives.

I installed the panel and an XT60U female connector next to it in the electrical panel.
I then fabricated a few sets of cables that have male XT60U connectors on one end and the various required connectors on the other end.  One harness with alligator clips is also useful for unexpected requirements.

The XT60U connectors are available cheaply at RC hobby retailers:

It's a general purpose tool that has proven itself to be very convenient to use aboard for all those things that don't necessarily require dedicated installs, and for when USB just isn't enough oomph.

Cheers,

/Jason
