I bought a nifty little hand held hydraulic crimper from Harbor Freight for about 50 bucks. The dies that came with it didn't go that big but I just took some of the smaller ones and grounded them out with an angle grinder to the size I wanted.
I often solder and shrink wrap my connections when I'm done and use No-Ox on terminals. I hear grease or Vaseline works good too but No-Ox is cheap enough.

Hello All. I have six 8v batteries in my boat. I made cables from Ancor 4 gage cable 4 years ago. looks like I need to replace some of them since they show signs of heat and corrosion. So before I make up new ones, I would like to ask what procedures you all use to assemble cables. Thank you in advance!
