The battery platform is already pretty secure for lateral movement with the braces and also being butted up agai...

It worked well but, getting to the one battery that was off set was awkward for ease of servicing. Last year I built an extension with angle iron for that battery and now have them in line for ease of servicing:

The sailing season has been delayed while I deat with the damaged battery SNAFU. Two new 8A4D batteries arrived ...

Yes, very good advice. I wish the steering wasn't in the way. Be nice to use the underneath of the cockpit for additional support. I will put up picks this weekend if the location I'm thinking of.
