[Electric Boats] Re: 3D printed propellers

 

Thanks for your suggestion about ABS; I'll look for the other 3d  printers who can do from polyamide; Other than custom size I intend to make a propeller with a metal insert, aluminum or brass (fresh water or salt water) that I will built into a plastic propeller; However, this propeller (5.5 inches) should cost about 12 to 13 euros (without a metal insert); On the other hand, those who work 3d print praise that they have made plastic gears that work, I think the gears have a higher load than the propeller ... If there will be some  problem, I have spare Sevylor propellers of 5 inches,  just I must  make one  for easy assembly, as with all new propellers. And in the case of factory propellers I noticed that some do not have the nuts protection, but  they use rotation in 2 directions?
