Of course, if I had read all the data sheet; multiple LTC3305's can be stacked for more than 4 batteries.
Personally, I think treating a pair of 6V batteries as a 12V battery to the 3305 would be a good start, and see how imbalanced the 6V pairs are over time. Like Lithium, you want to start from ground zero with all the batteries fully charged and as close to the same voltage as possible.--
