[Electric Boats] Never done an electric conversion.

Been 99% sail or commercial where power demand was not satisfied from available systems

Right now am rebuilding a design I did and built 35 years ago as a trailer sailor, It as sat in a field for 15 years. Recovered it last summer.

My current location

and age and joints:-) make the trailer sail option not practical so am rebuilding into a  motor craft.  Have an old 9.9 Long shaft that is using the side mount like when had sail but been considering options.  When helm goes in will have a 4 x 5 ft hard top for solar and in central FL have lots of sun  Can make an outboard well on the CL aft. and then?
so the discussion on outboard conversions interest me.

Now I may be dumb but I have no problem using the transmission for reverse and seems a non reversing electric should be simpler.

Anyway following this discussion closely and if anyone with experience or wanting to learn is in or near Highlands county lets get together. I have built and designed FG multihulls since both FG and multihulls were dirty words .
