[Electric Boats] Re: Hello

Hi Dan,
There are a few trailer-able retractable-centerboard sailboats that I think may be worth looking at. Something like the Com-Pacs, O-days, and similar 20-ish footers come to mind. They tend to be lightly ballasted and get much of their stability from hull shape, generally having a fairly wide beam with a flattish bottom profile.
Stitch-and-glue is probably one of the easiest/quickest construction methods if you want to build your own without having it turn into a multi-year project. Here's some other food for thought: http://www.boatdesigns.com/15-7-Lo-Voltage-electric-launch/products/480/
Lots of options out there!
Cheers,
Jim

Here is the North Florida Big Bend area. Waters here are mostly slow moving and shallow. So I am not sure a sail boat is the best? I could be wrong. I will keep looking and I am sure I will find one or build it. Thanks Dan
