Thanks for that. I'm not yet familiar with all the pros and cons of brushed/brushless and know none concerning DC Vs AC - I'll look into the latter.
I have seen concerns over the vulnerability of being reliant on a highly sophisticated electronic brushless driver.
I'm not aware of any restriction on the use of brushed motors in the UK, which makes Lynch motors available.
