[Electric Boats] Re: Battery Meter for Electric Boat

To get to the WattsUp wiring diagram page directly try

for three and four wire hookups.

Another option is MEDUSA POWER ANALYSER PRO

for more advanced details up to 100 Amp and with PC connectivity.

With the Medusa Research Power Analyzer Pro there is no more guessing as
to the performance of your model. It measures nine different parameters
real-time including voltage, current, power, amp-hours, watt-hours, RPM,
two different temperatures, and thrust as well as the capability to
control your ESC. The PowerProView software through the USB interface
allows you to display and view plots as well as real time data through
user configurable gauges. Using the Pro to control your ESC you can
program a test sequence to automatically measure thrust or monitor any
of its measured parameters at different throttle settings. Its broad
measurement range and high resolution make it just as useful on your
parkflier as on your hotliner.

The Power Analyzer is a precision measurement instrument that allows you
to accurately measure and calculate all the performance information you
need to get the most from your electric model.

Technical Specifications Input Specifications Minimum Maximum Input
Voltage 5 Volts 60 Volts 0 Volts* Current -30 Amps 100 Amps Display
Range Voltage 60 Volts Current -30 to 100 Amps Power 9999 Watts
Amp-Hours ±999.999 AH Watt-Hours ±9999.9 WH Temperature
Channels 1 & 2 0°C to 130°C or 32°F to 266°F (user
selectable) RPM 60,000 (up to seven blades) Thrust 5,000g Auxiliary
Analog Input** 0.1V - 2.6V, User configurable display value
I've used both the Watts Up and the Medusa units and the Medusa is more
flexible. Medusa also make a data logging module too, which is great
where data can be downloaded and analysed later. Recommended check 60V

The Oracle Data Recorder is a precision measurement instrument that
allows you to accurately measure and record all the performance
information from your electric model.
Records Volts, Amps, Watts, WattHrs, AmpHrs, RPM, Throttle, two (2)
Temperatures, and Aux Input. Recording times from 20 minutes to over
10 days High resolution Holds multiple recordings at one time
Factory Calibrated. Our units are the standard for accuracy for R/C
meters and recorders. User updatable and expandable for future
enhancements. Lowest resistance/voltage drop of any other RC Data
Recorder. We use a true current shunt to get the most accurate reading
possible.
