Re: [electricboats] Curtis Throttle housing/lever?

Hi, Ryan

You can drill a 3/8" hole, and then use an electric jigsaw.
Cover the surrounding area of the hole to be cut with a few layers of clear tape to protect the surface.

Has anyone built a proper housing for the Curtis 134 throttle from the Thunderstruck kit?

It's on my list as currently I'm just using a little mounting bracket to hold it near the helm and a little 8mm socket to turn the shaft forward and reverse. The whole thing is exposed to the weather so I disconnect it when not in use snd stow it.  Time to build a weather proof housing and handle.

I realized I don't know how to punch a square hole in steel. I guess that's a job for a CnC machine. What have you guys done for the housing and throttle lever?
