I made a throttle handle from a piece of flat bracket with holes in it that you'd buy at the lumber section of a hardware store. I used a locking shaft collar on the throttle stub. JB welded the shaft collar to the bracket, tightened the shaft collar & used the screw with a washer as added security. I mounted the throttle in the engine compartment & connected the shift cable from the helm to it. It's installed below the charger. Cost me like $5.00 to put this together not including the new shift cable.

Has anyone built a proper housing for the Curtis 134 throttle from the Thunderstruck kit?
It's on my list as currently I'm just using a little mounting bracket to hold it near the helm and a little 8mm socket to turn the shaft forward and reverse. The whole thing is exposed to the weather so I disconnect it when not in use snd stow it. Time to build a weather proof housing and handle.
I realized I don't know how to punch a square hole in steel. I guess that's a job for a CnC machine. What have you guys done for the housing and throttle lever?
