I'm using a Honda 1kVA, 900 Watts continuous output. My propulsion bank chargers total 1,100 Watts but I have a dial to trim it down to match the 900 continuous. The 2kVA Honda is rated at 1,600 Watts continuous. You then need to consider your charger efficiency and the charge efficiency of your type of battery so my best guess is you'll have 1,200 Watts continuous running. The two Honda's are indentical 50cc engines, the larger one runs faster to get the higher output and is noisier. I guess it depends how fast you want to go. The larger one is 50% more expensive. I use Victron Chargers and their Multiplus which is a combined inverter/charger and they have the digital multi control to adjust current output so as not to overload generator. It also has power assist which if I boil a kettle higher than the generator output whilst charging it seamlessly combines battery inverter power and generator and when boiled automatically switches back to charging. A really nice feature.
