Yes, maybe so. Unfortunately you will usually not see 600w actual from a 600w solar array. But even half of that will get you barely poking along with a small boat. For serious solar-electric propulsion you will want a good bit more, though. I hope to eventually have well over 1kw of solar on my boat. At 600w for a 27'-32' sailboat hull, you are just getting into the zone where you might dispense with a genset or shore power recharging.
