My solution was to fit a solid state peltier cooler (20 C below ambient). I have a 130 Ah AGM house bank at 24 V with 24 to 12 V DC to DC converter. I also run a Victron Multiplus putting out 230/240V AC for UK appliances, with an 800 Watt inverter with fast transfer switch for power assist. It has a 16 A charger built into the Multi.
The Peltier unit is not particularly efficient but it is enough for the basic in terms of volume and consumes 36Wh running at 12V. Also much cheaper than a compressor type.Here is my public Facebook page with pics of it.
