I don't know the unit cost, but I've been using the one that was included with my Propulsion Marine drive since my conversion became operational.
It's a great display with a lot of good information for a data geek like myself. The stuff that I pay attention to is the RPM, motor amps (usually pretty different from the battery amps until close to full power), motor temp, and controller temp. There is some other data, like motor torque and motor volts as percentages but I haven't found them to be as useful. My Clearview is configured as text rather than graphics so that I can see the actual data instead of an analog representation.
I like it.
