Hi Kevin,

Not that I'm aware of. The submarine props that I've seen pictures of are very curved, with each blade looking like a scimitar but still relatively flat. As John described his idea, the tips would end with a sharp bend at about 90 deg to the blade span. But efficiency is not a primary concern for modern submarine props. Stealth technology is their biggest focus, trying to make the propeller silent at speed.
