I just bought a 20' sailboat with 1200 pounds of displacement to day sail while I pull my bigger boat for maintenance. It came with an older Tohatsu 2-stroke 3.5 horse outboard which powers the boat quite nicely in and out of the marina at about half throttle. But damn, that little thing is loud. Can someone comment on their set up for a boat of this size using a trolling motor? (What size motor, how many batteries, run time, etc.)
