[Electric Boats] Sevcon Micromos Problem

 

Hi,

I have a Duffy 14 Sport with a Sevcontrol Micromos Controller made by Sevcon. 36 Volt batteries. Motor is a 1HP Leeson 24 Volt rated at 39 Amps.
For the first few minutes the motor runs fine, after that it slows down to a crawl. It is the controller that slows it down. I checked the speed control potentiometer and wiring wich looks fine. It looks like the controller is overheating and has possibly a protection built in that reduces the output. This happens running at an output around 30 - 35 Amps.
Does anybody have any information on this controller?
