Anyone thought about using a water well pump as a drive source?
They're designed for submerged service and use in brine water. You may need to remove the pump part and replace it with a prop or mount it in a tunnel like a jet drive.
A 6" model designed to lift many gallons of water hundreds of feet should produce decent thrust, no?
