Thank you for your replies. My goof, the 11kw generators were 11kva. They are on ebay, Gen Power 3 phase commercial. I have room for a 26hp Kubota diesel in one hull which could runa 20kw generator. IMy boat is a Hitchhiker 15 metre Catamaran and is reasonably easily driven. I previously drove it on 9.9 4 stroke outboards. Ideally I want to run two 7.5 kw motors thru 1" shafts to 18" props. Can I do this on only 20kw's of power? As with any boat (especially a 15x8 metre Cat) I need to have instant foward and reverse options and full speed control. Oh, and Elle Mcpherson as foredeck crew. Not asking too much am I?
