As I recall my AGM manufacturer of my batteries specifically stated they not be put inside a battery box. I'm not sure about ABYC or Coast Guard. Since they are sealed. I would suspect they don't pose the same risk of acid spilling that flooded sells do.

To the best of my knowledge the answer is no. You must secure the batteries.
