Depending on what's wrong, it may be able to be repaired. The speed is
controlled by a potentiometer (POT) to the electronic speed control/motor
controller. Mine was acting a little flaky and I had to replace it. The
large forward/reverse switch looks like it can be easily taken apart and
cleaned up.
