Yeah, I probably should put some protectorant on the terminals too. As the caps are really just to help make sure nothing shorts across the terminals but, don't help much with corrosion issues.

Hi Mike
I too worry about battery terminal protection and terminals and connectors that are in the high amperage circuit for the electric motor.
In my latest work I use a combination of conductive grease on mating surfaces to protect them from oxidation. And then I like to paint over that with liquid insulation tape, or CRC battery terminal protector.
The battery terminal protector is a kind of waxy paint in a pressure pack can that is easily applied. I also found when having to remove and re-arrange some batteries that it was fairly easy to remove with a solvent such as metho.
